Thank You Thursday // 1

When I was around eight, Mama encouraged me to get a fresh new notebook, and write down at least five (5) things that I was thankful for that day. I think that prompted my habitual journaling, but also instilled a grateful spirit within me.

With that, I would like to introduce Thank You Thursday. My weekly dose of (online) gratitude and inspiration.

1. Sunday Paper Co

If you know me, I am obsessed with stationary. Paper things make my soul truly happy. I found Sunday Paper Co on Instagram a couple of months ago - and I've been following them ever since. So, when I knew I was visiting the Philippines, I had to get in touch with them to make sure I meet whoever is behind this beautiful brand.

One fateful afternoon, I met up with AJ in Habitual Coffee in Katipunan, and the rest is history! We're currently collaborating on a passion/personal project that's very close to my heart. More on that next time ;)

Make sure to check out Sunday Paper Co and grab a notebook (or five) in your nearest supplier!

2. Michaela McBride Calligraphy

I stumbled upon Michaela's work over at Paper & Lace. And man, did I get hooked straight away! I'm currently testing the waters for calligraphy (aka I bought a few nibs and some ink) - so seeing all this wonderful calligraphy work is making me drool.

3. My parents

Bless them. I'm thankful for their support, not just to me, but to the whole family, here in NZ and also back home in Manila. They work so hard, and I'm glad they've finally found ideal workplaces after being in New Zealand on-and-off for 7 years. I love them lots :)

4. My new part-time job!

It was such a crazy-amazing journey — I never expected to get a (second) job so quickly. But thanks to a couple of recruitment agencies (Hello HAYS, Hudson, and Chandler McLeod), I landed a part-time job in less than a week (sent out CVs on Sunday, interviews Weds, Thurs, Fri, and got the job on the Friday). Since it's quite quiet in the wedding world during winter, I figured I could keep myself busy whilst updating the website and sharing more stories from the summer during this time.

5. Zumba + Empowered Health & Fitness!

So, I've recently joined a gym (haha) - I was encouraged by my parents since they've been members for a while. I joined Mama in her Zumba class and totally enjoyed it! I was all smiles. Shaking my booty yay. Hahaha I think it's because I have a super fun teacher and I used to dance when I was back in high school (believe it or not). I started doing some of the other Les Mills classes like BodyPump, Body Combat, CXWorks, and they're all pretty amazing. Sign up today!

I'm thankful I have a relatively healthy body and that I can maintain a healthy lifestyle at a young(ish) age. Now, I just need to work on my diet, and working around how I can eat chocolate and ice cream whilst staying fit and healthy...

What are you thankful for this week? Remember to write it down.
